Conference Travel & Professional Development

All doctoral students are eligible to be reimbursed up to $1,000 annually for expenses related to conference travel when presenting a paper or poster. With prior approval, these funds may also be used to attend specialized trainings. To further assist with professional development, the school provides business cards for all doctoral candidates.

Sponsored by the 51²è¹ÝSSW Alumni Association, this annual event connects students and alums in a casual meet-and-greet format. It provides career exploration conversations and networking opportunities.

Mock Interviews

51²è¹ÝSSW students are given the opportunity to practice their interviewing skills with alumni volunteers in 45-minute virtual mock interviews to help as they prepare for their job search.Ìý
