Richard A. Spinello is Associate Professor of the Practice and Assistant Chair of the Management and Organization Department in the Carroll School of Management at Boston College. His is also Director of the Carroll School Ethics Program. Professor Spinello teaches courses on ethics, social issues in management, and corporate strategy.
Prior to joining the faculty of Boston College, he worked as a consultant and product manager in the software industry. He has written and edited nine books on applied ethics and related areas, including CyberEthics: Morality and Law in Cyberspace and A Defense of Intellectual Property Rights. He has also written numerous articles and scholarly papers on ethics and management that have appeared in journals such as Business Ethics Quarterly ԻEthics and Information Technology.
Interviewed and quoted about various aspects of business ethics and management in such papers as the Wall Street Journal, Boston Globe, Boston Herald, Middlesex News, Boston Business Journal, Chicago Tribune along with the Associated Press, WBUR radio and WNAC and WCVB television in Boston.
