Elizabeth P. Howard

Profile

Elizabeth P. Howard is associate dean of Academic Affairs and Faculty Development and a professor in the Connell School of Nursing, an adjunct scientist at the Hinda and Arthur Marcus Institute for Aging Research at Hebrew SeniorLife, and a fellow in the American Academy of Nursing. In addition, she is a fellow in interRAIĀ®, an international research consortium whose goal is ā€œto promote evidence-informed clinical practice and policy decision making through the collection and interpretation of high-quality data about the characteristics and outcomes of persons served across a variety of health and social service settings.ā€ Dr. Howard is a member of interRAIā€™s Network in Integrated Care and Aging and the Instrument and Systems Development Committee. Dr. Howard has experience examining healthy aging interventions including web-based arts intervention, comprehensive geriatric assessments, and wellness coaching program. She also contributes nursing expertise to development, testing and implementation of geriatric models using interRAIā€™s national and international data to address risks for common geriatric syndromes such as cognitive decline, falls, and frailty. As a certified adult/geriatric primary care nurse practitioner and an acute care nurse practitioner, Dr. Howard maintains a clinical practice in an internal medicine setting.
