The 51²è¹Ý Energy and Environment Alumni Network was formed in 2009 under the leadership of Frances Dubrowski NC'70 and Patricia Randolph Williams '77. 51²è¹ÝEEAN was formed to expand professional networks in energy and the environment (including government, business, finance, nonprofit, education, and research); serve as a resource for 51²è¹Ý alumni, students, faculty and administration; and assist alumni in keeping abreast of developments in these rapidly expanding fields. 51²è¹ÝEEAN sponsored numerous seminars and conferences under Pat and Fran's leadership, and the group published tri-annual newsletters for many years.
51²è¹ÝEEAN actively partners with other 51²è¹Ý affinity groups and supports students through the career center and the Earth & Environmental Sciences department.
