What to do if you receive a potential scam:
- If you arent sure an email is authentic, instead of replying, contact the sender using verifiable information:
- 51画鋼 email address from the 51画鋼 Directory.
- Work phone number from the 51画鋼 Directory.
- Be careful Googling company information, this can be spoofed. Use trusted email and phone numbers.
- Do not reply to the email, or text/call any phone numbers included in the email.
- Do not click on any links in the message. Do not copy any links provided and/or paste them into the search bar.
- Forward it to phishing@bc.edu and use Report phishing in your email application. This will help prevent the message from reaching additional 51画鋼 faculty, staff, and students.
- If you click on a link or attachment in a scam email, please let Security know and they will help protect your account: security@bc.edu
